Editorial standards & corrections
Original sources. Clear dates. Traceable information.
News scope
We use competent regulators, health ministries, and professional and scientific organisations and references covering medicines, medical devices and good manufacturing practice. Company press releases and commercial news are outside the news scope. Official safety alerts, recalls and authorisation decisions remain in scope when they name products or companies.
Original evidence first
The publication standard is to review the full official original, publisher identity and document date, then match names, figures, doses and the scope of the decision in Arabic and English. Items with incomplete evidence or translation are held, and duplicates are reviewed before publication.
Document status and dates
A draft is not a final decision, and professional guidance is not binding legislation. Source publication dates are preserved and distinguished from site addition dates and source-check times. A monthly dataset’s release date does not change merely because it was checked again.
Coverage limits
Monitoring status covers configured feeds only. An inaccessible source is not evidence of no new material. Automated monitoring does not establish complete coverage of every Arab market or database. The official source remains the authority, particularly for market-specific requirements.
Corrections and withdrawals
Established errors are corrected in the existing record while preserving original dates and an audit trail. Commercial and duplicate items are withdrawn through review procedures, with a private audit record. These are working standards, not an absolute guarantee that the archive is error-free.
Training and tools
Tools support structured analysis and do not replace professional assessment or local requirements. Completing training alone does not establish statutory Qualified Person eligibility; consult the programme terms and the competent authority.
Report a correction
Include the item URL, the suspected error and the supporting official source.
